What do I do?
My main role is being a full stack React developer. But, there are a lot of different areas of development I enjoy learning and creating in:
- Video Game Design
- Web Scraping
- Databases
- UX Design
I typically have one or two side projects going on at any one time. I use them to discover new ways to create!
Feel free to checkout some of my latest projects here.
What's my experience in the industry?
I'm currently working for DESE Research as a Junior Full Stack Developer. I'm working with a team to bring more realiability, security, user design, and functionality to an existing project. I do this through React and Python.
Before this I was a Computer Systems undergraduate researcher at Virginia Tech. Helping to validate changes to the Linux Kernel and eBPF with the goal of making eBPF code run safer in the system level.
In 2021 I had 9 month internship with the Exeleration
Center, where I consulted for Rhythm. With
Rhythm I helped the existing team further develop their customer support portal to help better serve their Texas population.
This involved working with
Django and React. I was able to gain a valuable full stack experience.
My learning wasn't just about code though. I learned a lot about scrum and agile development, even completing
a Certified Scrum Master course.
What do I bring to the table?
- I have leadership experience on sports teams, group projects, and my cyber competition team.
- I communicate well and can break down technical challenges into non-technical language.
- I have an enthusiastic attitude and am looking to be passionate about the product I work on.
Is it all just code with this guy?
I like a lot of things outside of work and developing. I enjoy running, I've recently been getting back into shape and would really enjoy running a marathon one day. I have joined the hype and taken up pickleball. Playing video games with friends is always a favorite. I'm currently just playing Fortnite but my favorite games have to be the Last of Us series.
